At today's press conference in Osijek, Croatia head coach Nenad Gračan shared his thoughts on the UEFA Women's Nations League play-offs, a peak of the international career for many Croatia internationals.
"They are ready. Regardless of the outcome, we did a great job for Croatian football. We want a positive result, but it will not be easy, since Norway is the former European and world champions, and Olympic gold medal winner. They are a mighty team, but we have deserved to play such a big game. The approach has to be good, fully responsible without mistakes, and then we can achieve something. The pressure is on Norway, while the crucial thing is not to concede an early goal", he said.
Team captain, Croatia goalkeeper Doris Bačić, says:
"We are aware of the importance of this challenge. We did everything we could in practice and hope for a positive outcome. The girls live for this match. Croatia's shirt bears so much responsibility, every international match means a lot to us and we do not want to disappoint. This play-off berth is already a major success, now we have to be proud, enjoy the experience and play calmly".
