A total of 473,076 tickets for the 2014 FIFA World Cup™ were allocated during the second random selection draw for all matches except the Opening Game in Sao Paulo and the Final in Rio de Janeiro. Brazilian fans received around 60% of the inventory during this sales phase.

Across all general public sales phases on FIFA.com including the sale of the participating teams’ quotas, 1.5 million tickets have been allocated to supporters to date: 57% to Brazilians and 43% to international fans. Brazil remains the nationality with the most assigned tickets (906,433 allocated tickets so far), followed by the USA (125,465) and Colombia (60,231). Germany (55,666), Argentina (53,809), England (51,222), Australia (40,446), France (34,971), Chile (32,189) and Mexico (30,238) complete the list of top 10 nations with the most ticket allocations. In total, through all sales channels including the hospitality programme and other constituent groups, 2.3 million tickets have been assigned.

All applicants will be informed by e-mail or text as to whether or not their application has been successful – either fully or partially – by 11 March 2014. The electronic draw was observed by representatives of the Caixa Economica Federal Bank and the Brazilian Ministry of Sport. In total, close to 10 million tickets were requested by fans from 228 countries and territories in both sales phases.

“With 290,169 tickets dedicated to supporters of the participating teams now allocated, we start to see a balance in the ticket assignment. The teams can count on the support of their fans in the twelve stadiums in Brazil . This shows the huge anticipation for the 2014 FIFA World Cup on all corners of the world and that we can expect an incredible atmosphere at all matches in the stadiums in June and July, as we experienced during last year’s FIFA Confederations Cup,” said Thierry Weil, FIFA Marketing Director in charge of ticketing.

To watch the FIFA World Cup games live in the stadiums, all spectators, including children of all ages, must buy tickets. It is important to remind applicants that they must have sufficient funds in their accounts as, if their requests are successful, payments will be processed immediately. If not, the request is cancelled and the reserved tickets are offered to other fans.

The remaining tickets (approx. 160,000) will be available to the public in the next window of the second sales phase, which starts on a first-come-first-served basis on 12 March at 12.00 CET/08.00 BRT (Brasilia time). The final number available is subject to the afore-mentioned ticket payments and further releases from our stakeholders. This next window closes on 1 April, but most of the tickets are expected to sell out fast. There will be tickets for all matches except the Opening Game, the Final in Rio de Janeiro, England vs Italy and USA vs Portugal, both in Manaus, as well as the Round of 16 matches in Porto Alegre and Sao Paulo, and the semi-final in Belo Horizonte.

FIFA would like to reiterate that FIFA.com is the exclusive sales platform for 2014 FIFA World Cup tickets.
