Croatia national football team was drawn in UEFA EURO 2016 Group D, together with holders Spain, Czech Republic and Turkey.

Ante Čačić's men will start their EURO 2016 campaign in France against Turkey in Paris on 12 June, with Czech Republic encounter coming up on 17 June in Saint Etienne and the match with European champions Spain in Bordeaux on 21 June.

What are Croatia's chances in Group D?

"We have to do some analysis, but the fact remains that there are no easy groups, and Group D is among more demanding ones. I believe Croatia can cope with all of these three opponents, although I think Spain are the favourites of the group as the current champions", says Croatia head coach Ante Čačić for hns-cff.hr.

"This is an interesting, unpredictable group. We can try to avenge the unfortunate EURO 2008 defeat against Turkey, while Czech Republic is very well led by coach Vrba. It is also good that we play Spain later in the tournament, when they will probably already think about second round. We see our chance there as well", he added.

Croatia will not change its objectives after the Final Draw in Paris.

"We have no right to back away. We have to try to take control of every match and show the quality we undoubtedly have. I am convinced we can achieve that", concluded Čačić.
