New UEFA national teams' competition, Nations League, begins in September 2018, following the FIFA World Cup in Russia.
Croatia will compete in the top tier, League A, alongside Spain and England in Group 4. The group winner will fight for the UEFA Nations League trophy at the Final Four tournament, while the bottom-placed team will be relegated to League B.
The Nations League will also provide an opportunity to qualify for the UEFA EURO 2020 final tournament.
