The Croatian Football Federation (HNS) will host eight national teams in Osijek for the second edition of the “Vlatko Marković” International Tournament, which will take place in Osijek from September 23 to 27.

The “Vlatko Marković” Tournament carries the name of one of the most prominent individuals in Croatian football history – the late former player, coach, national team head coach, football official and HNS president Vlatko Marković, who led the Croatian Football Federation from 1998 to 2012.  This event will once again be organized with the support from the FIFA Forward Development Programme.

Group A will consist of Croatia, Qatar, Montenegro and Bulgaria, while Bosnia and Herzegovina, Romania, Zambia and North Macedonia will take part in Group B. The tournament will kick off on September 23, which is the seventh anniversary of Marković's passing.

“This tournament is another opportunity to honor Vlatko Marković and to remember the deep trace he left on Croatian football, as well as the unwavering commitment he showed to developing young players. We’re proud that we can organize this tournament in his memory and that we can show once again that investments into youth football are a major priority for HNS,” said HNS president Davor Šuker.

All matches at the tournament will be played without spectators.
