By a unanimous decision of the CFF Assembly representatives, Davor Šuker was re-elected at the helm of the Croatian Football Federation until 2018.
Among numerous congratulations were those of the FIFA and UEFA presidents. In the letter signed by Joseph S. Blatter, the president of FIFA, it said:
"This is a clear sign of trust of Croatian football community, a sign of confidence in your abilities and I look forward to continue our friendship and cooperation, in order to improve our management".
"I wish good luck, strength and success to you and your team, in all of the future challenges, and I look forward to our next meeting".
Similarly, UEFA president Michel Platini assured that "Šuker will continue to bring success from his previous term during the next one".
