“The excellently-organized camps in Norval and Cleveland illustrated how much interest there is among Croatians in these regions to participate in activities under the Croatian Football Federation, which we’re very happy to see. We’re aware of how much talent there is among Croatians living broad, and I’m proud of the number of young players that have recently decided to play for Croatia and have thus shown how strong a connection there is between the Croatian national team and Croatian living in other countries. These football camps are an opportunity to additionally strengthen the Croatian national team’s presence in North America and to help us connect with young players here – we’re a small country, and we need to identify every talented Croatian player there is, whether they live in Croatia or somewhere else,” said HNS president Marijan Kustić.
